ESSENTIAL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AND RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR CAPTAIN SERVICES
ESSENTIAL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
In order to participate in this program, one:
• Must have the ability to follow verbal and/or visual instructions independently or with the assistance of a companion.
• Must not exceed the manufacturer’s limit for the vessel which is the combined weight of the all participants in the boating party with gear, including Boat Life Krewe
• Must have the ability to wear a properly fitted personal flotation device.
• Must have the ability to enter and exit the vessel independently or with the assistance of a companion.
• Must have the ability to remain seated, maneuver, and balance independently or with the assistance of a companion.
RULES & REGULATIONS
1. Captain services are at your own risk. Tampa Boat Life LLC DBA Boat Life Tampa Charters DBA Boat Life Tampa Bay Captain Services and staff are not responsible for personal injury or loss of property. Participation in boating activities maybe dangerous. Management reserves the right to deny service with out refund.
2. Person hiring a captain must be 18 years or older. Parent or legal guardian required to allow minor participation.
3. Maximum capacity - maximum capacity is determined by your vessel manufacturer as displayed on your vessel. This is not a charter so we are not restricted by 6 pack or bareboat regulations of the coast guard.
4. Florida law requires children 6 years of age and under must wear a personal flotation device(PFD) on vessels less than 26’ while vessel is in motion. All other occupants must have PFD in their possession. Type 1 PFDs are not required but recommended.
5. Wearing of life vests at all times helps reduce the risk of drowning.
6. Alligators & sharks can be dangerous! Avoid close encounters with alligators & sharks. Do not feed wildlife.
7. Alcoholic beverages are permitted must follow state consumption laws and drinking ages.
8. Pets - please confirm with captain if you plan on bringing a pet on board your vessel. It is your vessel and we are pet friendly however some captains may have allergies or certain conditions may not be safe for pets.
9. Swimming is allowed at your own risk.
10. Do not stay in the water in the event of thunder or lightning.
11. Please make sure you have sun block. (aerosol sprays can damage your boat, lotion is recommended)
12. Please dispose of liter in trash cans and do not litter in our water ways, including cigarettes but not limited to.
13. Boat owner is required for all damages to their vessel and lost equipment.
14. Equipment brought by the captain and Krewe are the property of our Krewe and we expect to receive all equipment back upon completion of trip. This includes fishing gear and tackle.
15. Upon returning boat to marina or boat ramp launch area, captain remains in control of vessel until vessel is secured at port or on trailer.
16. All bookings must be completed at agreed time. Additional charges of our per hour rates will begin 15 minutes after agreed time.

1 8. Illegal contraband is not permitted on board any of our vessels.
19 . If captain feels any guest is too intoxicated we reserve the right to end services immediately for everyone's safety.
20. Alcohol induced vomiting is immediate grounds for termination of service and we will return to port with out a refund.
21. Safety onboard vessels is our number one priority, We reserve the right to terminate services unequivocally
22 If your insurance requires a Captain survey and copy of MMC please allow 48 business hours for completion
23 Fuel is at the expense of boat owner and we have zero responsibility for fuel cost.
24 Port charges, marina charges and expenses, fines, licensing and all other cost of operation of your vessel are at the sole responsibility of you the boat owner
25 Fishing - most of our captains have FWC fishing licenses for up to 8 people however not all captains are guaranteed to have this licensing. If you plan on fishing on your trip please let us know 48 hours prior to your booking so we can guarantee the proper captain is provided. If you need fishing gear, tackle sand bait additional charges may apply and a minimum of $500 preauthorization will be required. In some cases depending on the equipment being supplied additional deposits or preauthorizations may apply at the discretion of the captain. If fishing is requested in most cases a captain may require you to add an additional Krewe member to assist the captain. Some captains have 4 pack FWC license and other have 8 pack licenses. Guest and Krewe on board need to fall under the captains license requirements in order to fish onboard a vessel. Even if the guest don’t plan on fishing this criteria needs to be met. Having one fishing rod on board may jeopardize FWC compliance, even if you are not fishing that day.
26 Cleaning of your vessel is not our responsibility. If you would like us to clean your vessel prior to your booking or after completion of your booking an additional charge will apply.
27 Gratuity is not included in cost. Gratuity is not required however it is appreciated by the captain and Krewe.
28 Services provided by our captains and Krewe for bookings are for recreational use and training. Captains are not hired to perform commercial charter services and no form of consideration should be provided to you the boat owner by any of your guest.
Tampa Boat Life LLC DBA Boat Life Tampa Charters DBA Boat Life Tampa Bay Captain Services are at no way responsible for any damage yo your vessel or any other vessel during booking and by agreement to the Essential Eligibility Requirements and the rules and regulations you release our company, Tampa Boat Life LLC DBA Boat Life Tampa Charters DBA Boat Life Tampa Bay Captain Services, subsidiaries, staff, employees and sub contractors from any liability.
